Performs all requested mammography procedures including breast localizations and stereotactic breast biopsies. Performs ancillary duties, patient care functions and procedures as required by the Minnesota Department of Health and the FDA MQSA. The staff member must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria for adult and geriatric patients.
Essential skills and experience:
2-year degree in related field of study. Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Radiology Technology. CPR Certification. Certification by the ARRT(R) and must be registered within 18 months for ARRT: Mammography. Able to demontrate safe patient handling. Read and interpret scans accurately. Basic computer skills. Outlook.
Nonessential skills and experience:
Associate degree preferred. One year prior mammography experience preferred.
