This position serves as a Management Analyst for a region of Field Management in the Federal Investigative Services (FIS), Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The incumbent will perform a variety of assignments relating to efficiency oversight of field operations including ongoing analysis of workload management, resource utilization, financial performance and cost containment.

Study workload trends, such as scheduling and case case closure rates at Field, Area and National levels.
Use research and data collection methods, along with statistical/trend analysis to integrate historical data and subjective feedback to develop forecasting models and evaulative criteria to assess program performance.
Coordinate, develop technical procedures and deliver end-products to support new analysis and trending processes in order to accomplish stated program objectives.
Advise all management levels on matters pertaining to resource utilization, financial performance, hiring decisions and Field, Area and Regional realignments.
Serve as liaison between Field Management and all other FIS entities to ensure continuity of operations.
For the GS-13: You must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. This experience must have included assessing program performance by using data collection methods and statistical/trend analysis, applying policies and procedures related to Federal personnel background investigations, studying workload trends and recommending workforce planning initiatives to management, analyzing and evaluating financial data, and developing technical procedures for more efficient program operations.
Education cannot be substituted for the required experience at this grade level.
