This position is located in the Region I office, Division of Management Services. The incumbent provides technical and administrative support to the Director, Division of Management Services, in the areas of budget, procurement, records management, space and property management, time and attendance, supplies and equipment, and general administrative areas.
This position is in a bargaining unit.

You will provide technical and administrative support to the Director, Division of Management Services in the areas of budget, procurement, records management, space and property management, time and attendance, supplies and equipment, and other general administrative areas. You will draft procedural guidance for submission of annual estimates of funding needs; develop annual budget estimates; monitor and track obligations and expenditures; analyze the accuracy of incoming invoices; execute monthly reconciliation reports; prepare and process purchase requisitions in compliance with budgeted amount; verify the terms of purchase orders are met; obtain through various methods all supplies and equipment needed to support staff; maintain estimates and select or recommend selection of most appropriate vendor; serve as Records Management Officer; assist in planning of layouts for office alterations; initiate requests for equipment repairs; arrange conferences and meetings; oversee mail distribution; serve as expert on travel regulations; assist in the preparation of travel orders; and monitor preparation and amendment of time keeping records and ensure timely submission to payroll office.
To qualify for CU-07 grade level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-06 level in Federal Service where you were required to provide budget assistant duties to a budget officer/analyst or equivalent and prepared purchase orders for the office, including reviewing requests to determine if the information pertaining to items, description, price, quantity, shipping information, etc., was correct and that funds were available for the purchase.
To qualify for CU-08 grade level , you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-07 level in Federal Service where you were required to provide support to specialists in one or more of the specialty areas: Budget, Procurement, Records Management, Space and Property Management.
To qualify for CU-09 grade level , you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-08 level in the Federal Service where you were provided technical support in at least two of the following administrative areas: Budget, Procurement, Records Management, Space and Property Management. Example of work required would be researching or investigating problem or errors to ensure compliance and recommend action.
You cannot qualify for this position based on education. You must have the specialized experience as outlined under the "Qualifications" section.

Skill in the use of various software packages for spreadsheet and data management.

If you are selected for this position at the CU-07, or CU-08, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next level through CU-09 level. Promotion is not automatic and is conditional on demonstrated ability to perform the higher grade level duties, a current written performance appraisal rating of "fully successful" or better, fulfillment of the necessary qualification requirements, and sufficient work at the higher grade level position.
SALARY : Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 10.32 percent for the Albany, NY geographical area.
