As a Management Assistant in Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Federal Investigative Services (FIS), you will provide administrative and technical support in the areas of management and workforce analysis in various organizational units.
    KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Relevant experience (see Qualifications below)

DUTIES:
  • Perform workload and process analysis to determine compliance of contract requirements.
  • Use advanced office automation software to generate reports, presentations, and spreadsheets (ex: excel, access, power point, word and outlook).
  • Review documents for timeliness, correctness, completeness.
  • Track and monitor correspondence, reports and items of special interest.
  • Screen callers and visitors to determine the nature of business.
  • Arrange meetings, including preparation of background material, coordinate logistics, and handle travel arrangements.
  • Organize and maintain a filing system for both hard copy and electronic files.


  • QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: GS-5: At least one year of clerical or technical experience equivalent to the GS-4 level in the Federal government to include:
    • organizing information and preparing it for presentation
    • maintaining data base records (entering, searching for, retrieving, editing and deleting data)
    • using and helping others to use administrative and information management systems
    • using word processing, data base, and spreadsheet software to accomplish work
    OR

    Successfully completed four years of post-high-school education.

    OR

    A combination of experience and education that meets the minimum qualification requirements.
