Minimum Requirements/ Experience : A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of nine (9) year’s of related experience, of which five (5) must be specialized in DOE mission related programs/projects. Advanced degrees may be substituted for years of experience required.

Desired Skills: Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills; Experience working in a DOE and/or NE environment is preferred ! Position may require travel. Must have or be able to obtain a Security Clearance.

Required Skills : Candidate should have sound understanding and proven experience in Earned Value Management systems, coding, proper development procedures, and rigid testing requirements; Proven customer relationship skills including strong written and verbal communication skills is a must; Prior leadership experience in team environment required.

Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will manage a team of consultants and analysts supporting an agency’s process improvement and quality training efforts, leading all efforts to improve existing processes to improve quality or on-time delivery. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: providing consultation to managers at DOE-ID and DOE-NE/HQ on implementation of agency wide quality and quality workshops, seminars, training sessions and facilitation ensuring that the right product is developed to meet or exceed the DOE quality standards; tailoring quality improvement workshops and courses for an organization and its specific needs, including execution of one or more products simultaneously according to the Software Development Life Cycle; conducting benchmarking and surveys for an organization in addition to serving as the lead in providing application development and systems operation and maintenance support to DOE-ID and DOE- NE on the PICS system and any other database or data management system deemed appropriate by DOE-ID or DOE-NE customer; facilitating process improvement efforts requiring a mastery of technical subject matter and experience in specific programs or processes. This may involve interacting with DOE clients via face-to-face meetings and conference calls; generating papers and documents as needed.
