The Manager, Asset Repository will provide to the U.S. Tower Division asset management services ranging from designing and implementing new processes, procedures and reports to be able to maintain the highest level of accuracy throughout the organization to maintaining and revising policies and developing management/lifecycle programs.

The Manager, Asset Repository will work with business units to expand the current asset management program to better address the company's changing asset information needs.

The incumbent will assist in drafting and designing policies, procedures, best practices and training documentation for implementation.

The incumbent will oversee a staff responsible for ensuring asset accuracy, identification and correction of asset inaccuracies and addressing all issues causing a negative impact on asset integrity.

Job Requirements

Implement and design asset and information policies and standards governing records that are created and maintained by all company departments.

Communicate and provide support for implementation of asset repository policies and standards.

Manage the monitoring of asset-related activity and metrics.

Work with data custodians and system managers to identify stakeholders for assigned data elements and the data stewards who are responsible for data element content, context and associated business rules, ensuring that assigned data elements have clear and unambiguous definitions that apply to their usage across the organization.

Develop and oversee ongoing asset management training program

Establish asset information governance standards.

Collaborate with other internal departments and provide oversight and expertise to groups to ensure continued conformity with information management and governance requirements to which the company may be subject.

Keep all process documentation up to date and available for training and Sarbanes-Oxley ("SOX") compliance.

Provide asset policies and procedures training to all U.S. Tower employees

Function as the 'power user" for the asset repository for asset-related transactions by providing user training and coordination for process revisions.

Monitors key metrics and manage workload and priorities for the department.

Consult with internal groups, including IT, legal or litigation, tax and internal audit, regarding information management issues or procedures.

Consult with IT management and internal customers to design and conduct process and system reviews based on Enterprise Information Management goals and objectives

Develop overall assessments around system-related business and technical risks and controls

Provide recommendations for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of information governance, operational control processes, and enterprise data risk compliance activities

Understand complex business and information technology management processes

Prepare and create monthly and quarterly reports highlighting methods to reduce costs, leverage suppliers, etc.

Initiate/develop data analyses, specifically for new trends and root cause.

Develop new and standardized processes; proactively look for opportunities to enhance, automate and simplify processes, generate innovative ideas and challenge the status quo

Supervise and manage the performance of

staff controlling access to data

Demonstrated progressive experience with Asset Information Management programs in a large corporate environment (commercial real estate company or wireless provider preferred)

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships through effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage shifting priorities and workloads, manage and work with project teams, and plan project scopes and manage project timelines to ensure deadlines are consistently met

Excellent problem solving and project management skills with a strong ability to multitask

Detail oriented; strong follow-up skills and ability to prioritize and organize assignments to meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively work independently and with others to support strong team development

Working knowledge of contracts and general contract law preferred

Working knowledge of standard accounting practices preferred

Working knowledge of the operations of the wireless and telecommunications industry’s business practices preferred

Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and database systems such as Oracle

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

10 years working experience in asset information management or analytics (commercial real estate company or wireless provider preferred)

100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.

Approximately 0-5% travel will be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to feel and handle, reach with arms and hands, talk and hear.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel and crouch, lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.
