The Manager, Business Development is responsible for detailed coordination of RFP/RFQ/RFI responses with direction from agency leadership and a broader team of experts from various disciplines. As part of coordinating responses to business opportunities this role will maintain the business development team’s pipeline list and manage the agency’s library case studies. In addition, individuals in this role will work with Client Services and the Strategy Group to support organic growth of Rockfish’s current clients by providing solutions that solve client’s current and future business challenges.

  • Work with internal accounting and job tracking programs/systems to start work
  • Write project briefs and document approaches for problem solving
  • Curate library of case studies
  • Ensure work adheres to strategic direction from clients
  • Lead internal meetings and coordinate next steps for team members
  • Implement industry best practices and share digital trends with clients
  • Collaborate, as needed, with external partners to support client work
  • Manage internal and external client expectations
  • Coordinate or oversee multiple projects at a time
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Problem solver geared towards innovative solutions
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team to deliver great work
  • Strong understanding of a variety of business models/industries
  • Understanding of how digital marketing can grow businesses
  • Up to speed with marketing and advertising industry news and happenings
  • Exceptional communication skills – both oral and written
  • Exceptional listening skills with the ability to turn information into action items
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Self-motivated with a bias for action
  • Flexible, and adaptable with the ability to anticipate issues/hurdles
  • Ideally, 3+ years relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Superior command of MS Office suite of products
