The Manager,Business Intelligence will be part of a dynamic team that builds and implements Business Intelligence solutions that serve as key decision support systems for the leadership of the company. Reporting to the Director, Business Intelligence and functioning as part of an agile, creative, and resourceful team, this role will work closely with the business community at Match.com to understand the business, data, and analytic needs of the stakeholders. They will then play a key role in bringing to bear solutions to meet those needs. A key for success in this role is a unique blend of leadership savvy, technical skills, business knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication skills. This role provides the opportunity to work with a global view of the Match.com business. You will work on projects and with data that touch virtually every functional and technical segment of the company.
Work closely with management to evolve the reporting function
Work with stakeholders to determine requirements for BI solutions
Translate business questions and requirements into BI solutions
Scope projects, manage scope changes, communicate progress, and manage expectations
Manage a team of reporting analysts, prioritize projects, balance work load, and develop staff
Map source system data to data warehouse models
Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, ETL processes, metadata definitions, queries, reporting systems, and analytic applications
Adapt ETL processes, reporting systems, and analytic applications to accommodate changes in source systems and new business requirements
Develop reporting deliverables across a variety of technologies (SSRS, SSIS, Excel, Tableau)
BS, BA required
Graduate degree preferred
Strong SQL skills (Minimum 5 years)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Report Development, SQL, ETL, and data\business analysis
Development experience with Microsoft’s BI Stack SQL Server (T-SQL), Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS).
Knowledge of key data warehousing theory and best practices
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Experience with large, active data sets in multiple environments
Ability to work in a fast paced, open environment with limited structure
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple requests from different stakeholders
Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (in particular, Excel and Powerpoint)
