Business Intelligence and Data Management – Technology Practice MorganFranklin’s dynamic Technology commercial practice based in Tysons Corner, VA provides opportunities for you to become part of a high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions in business process improvement, data integration, program management, enterprise transformation, ERP optimization, IT strategy, and performance measurement and management. JOB SUMMARY: As a result of our continued growth, MorganFranklin is seeking a Business Intelligence and Data Management Manager to join our dynamic commercial FMPI practice. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing and proven consulting firm at a management level. As a Manager in the commercial Technology practice, you will be responsible for expert delivery in the areas of: Business Intelligence (definition of key performance measures, selection and implementation of various BI tools) and Data Management (data architecture, governance and strategy definition and implementation of integration tools).The candidate needs to have significant knowledge of BI solutions and/or DM solutions.

The candidate is expected to deliver on reporting and analytical platform implementation projects meeting clients’ tactical and strategic requirements over a full project life cycle. Candidate will be fully engaged in deployment activities providing technical guidance to the project team. The candidate should have knowledge of one or more of the following BI solutions: TIBCO/Spotfire, Oracle BI, Microstrategy or Cognos. This candidate will provide business and IT project support by performing data management process assessments, data quality control reviews, data analysis, querying and manipulating data to identify trends and data quality anomalies, and documenting findings.

This will allow for the creation of Business Intelligence and Data Management solutions that will help align IT with the business. This candidate will develop business procedures and data management policies for ensuring data accuracy and control. The candidate should have knowledge of one or more of the following DM solutions: Informatica, AB Initio, DataFlux, ER Studio, or Adaptive JOB DUTIES: Job responsibilities will vary by project but overall the candidate capabilities should facilitate the majority of the following tasks: *Development of reporting and analytics business capabilities, strategy and roadmap *Facilitation and definition of reporting and analytics business requirements *Design and implementation of reporting and analytical platform. Involved in all aspects of the implementation from software installation, data source identification, data set rationalization, and visualization implementation.

  • Data Warehousing design, data modeling and maintenance *Design and implementation of a Data Management solution to support one of the following functions: data governance, data integration, or data quality. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: *Definition of Business Intelligence technical architectures *Experience evaluating back-end infrastructure supporting to assist advising on options and implementing chosen alternatives for addressing performance issues, file structure and set up, security, and portal/web structure *Ability to analyze and review client business data to identify key indicators pertaining to operations, risk, finance, compliance, or process and controls *Experience developing reporting and analytical solutions for Financial Institution Credit functions *Design and implementation of reporting and analytical platform utilizing other solutions *Experience with standing up data management processes including data governance, data quality and data integration Additionally, candidates should possess the following traits: *Knowledge of the basic data query and manipulation approaches, tools, and best practices *Expert SQL skills or experience with other data analysis applications *Demonstrated expertise in business analysis, decision-making and the ability to work with all levels of management EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: *Bachelor’s degree required *MBA, Tool Certification or PMP preferred EXPERIENCE: *Minimum 8 years of consulting or professional services experience from a technical or process (functional) oriented discipline within a Big 4 firm *5+ years of data management and/or data architecture experience with financial services clients *Minimum of 5 years experience with the implementation and execution of Data Management applications and toolsets. *1-2 years experience with technical data manipulation tools or business intelligence products *5-7 years of Business Analyst experience across multiple functional business areas *3-5 years experience in Data Warehousing Equal Opportunity Employer MorganFranklin is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer and will not discriminate in employment on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, national origin, veteran status, physical impairment, political affiliation, marital status, disability, or on any other basis prohibited by law.
