Manager, Client Relations
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Directs and manages the Aflac Group Client Relations Department’s operational initiatives and activities; participates in the development of long- and short-range strategic plans and priorities for the Department; manages the day-to-day functioning of the Client Relations Executive staff in securing and servicing large and critical accounts; ensures Department goals and objectives are met
Analyzes data and reports that pertain to the overall operation of the Department; summarizes and communicates to senior management the results of reports of activities and trends; develops and implements plans and actions to resolve various issues and to ensure customer satisfaction; reviews and implements processes and procedures designed to streamline activities and enhance service turnaround time, productivity, and quality; coordinates overall workflow of the business unit and ensures that workflow processes facilitate effective and efficient use of corporate resources and enhance customer satisfaction
Develops and approves annual budget; plans, implements and facilitates activities and events related to budget spending to ensures operations are managed within authorized budgets; manages the appraisal of staff and operational functions of the Department; participates in key management activities and committees, including the review of performance against Departmental operating plans and standards; maintains appropriate communications within area of responsibility, advising senior management accordingly
Performs other duties as required
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree and eight years of related professional work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Three years in a management or leadership capacity
Experience in the insurance industry or with Aflac in a service-related department is preferred
Job Knowledge & Skills
A high degree of skill in the analysis and resolution of complex and sensitive scenarios regarding large and critical account servicing activities
Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and insurance industry requirements
