This position will be based from the Natera, Inc. laboratory in San Carlos, California.
1.Develop and manage processes and protocols for NIPT results review and reporting.
Work with lab staff, receiving, support, genetic counselors, and medical science liaisons to develop a cohesive and integrated results reporting process.
2.Coordinate the NIPT results and call schedule and contribute to calling out results and answering provider inquiries.
3.Work with the product development team to research and make decisions about new tests and add them to the current NIPT panel
4.Coordinate the development and revision of results report templates and patient consents. Act as the clinical liaison to the product development team on NIPT-related test requisitions and sample kits.
5.Work with research and development team and clinical trials manager(s) on clinical aspects of NIPT-related research (i.e. perform clinical review of all IRBs, patient consents, etc.); may also include performing some phone consent sessions and coordinating follow-up and outcome data processes.
6.Collaborate with medical education and marketing teams on patient and clinician education pieces for NIPT and other Natera test products as needed.
7.Deliver presentations at scientific meetings and company promotional events; represent company at trade shows and medical conferences (< 25% travel)
Certified genetic counselor or other masters trained health care professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with prenatal genetic testing. Prior experience in a clinical genetics laboratory, with product development, or in clinical research a plus. This position is not appropriate for a new graduate.
