This position coordinates clinical activities, education, research, QI, and administrative duties within the guidelines set
forth in the Department of Health Services trauma Services Agreement. Acts as a liaison to the prehospital EMS agencies,
medical staff, patients, families and out lying communities. Works collaboratively with all members of the management
team and Medical Staff, towards achievement of the Medical Center 's goals and objectives. Provides on- going leadership
in the areas of financial accountability, personal development, and quality care/service for assigned areas and
functions. Responsible for oversseing the daily operations of the department. Processes payroll, prepares staff schedules,
assists with budgeting, participates in staff recruitment and evaluation as well as employee relations activities. Requirements
Minimum of two years recent supervisory experience in field of expertise
Fiscal and operational skills in managing a nursing unit
3 years emergency or critical care experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Valid CA RN license
Current BLS-C (AHA), ACLS, and PALS cards
Completion of a TNCC Course with certification is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) also preferred.
