The manager will primarily be engaged in two work streams supporting the Pricing Engine. They will help drive implementation, configuration, and adoption during the launch of the initial phases of the Engine, become a Subject Matter Expert, help develop and deliver training, and ensure ongoing sustainability.
The manager will also serve as a product manager during the development of subsequent phases of the pricing engine, including directly owning at least one additional product release. They will have the opportunity to drive this strategic imperative from conceptualization through implementation, defining functional requirements, working with internal and external partners to execute project plans, and ensuring business objectives are achieved.
The manager will also conduct original, proof-of-concept pricing science analysis to continuously expand the pricing team's capabilities.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Drive complex programs that cross functions and markets and align with corporate business goals.
Familiar with use of Pricing tools: Price water fall, customer segmentation performance, product and customer contribution analysis, Price band Analysis
Participate in deployment of IT systems to support EBIT improvement
Educate the sales and branch managers on profitability management and develop funnel of margin improvement opportunities
Develop and deliver executive presentation to the senior leadership team
NATURE AND SCOPE
Position reports to the Senior Manager, Strategic Pricing
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2 years of experience in an analytical, development, or science role
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Bachelor's Degree in business, statistics, industrial engineering or other related discipline. Master's Degree in business, statistics, or industrial engineering preferred.
