The purpose of this position is to assist in safeguarding our organization, our customers, reputation, assets, and the interests of our stakeholders by identifying and managing threats to the achievement of our business objectives. Actively work with the business units to identify, manage and mitigate areas of risk which might arise from inadequate or failed processes, people, systems, or from external events. Monitor operating statistics, regularly assesses areas perceived as high risk, partner with business units on a variety of risk-related projects.
Plan, design and implement risk management processes that aid in the identification, measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of risks.
Identifying and describe risks affecting the business
Monitor risks and assess the effectiveness of controls
Recommend ways to control or reduce risk.
Communicate key risks. Produce reports and presentations that outline findings, explain risk positions, or recommend changes
A minimum of 5 to 7 years business experience in a corporate environment required.
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree (MBA) and work experience in Risk Management or Internal Audit is preferred
A practical knowledge of the tools and techniques used in risk management, an ability to quickly identify and quantify levels of risk and propose mitigating actions.
This position requires excellent communications and presentation skills, to be able to inform and persuade both orally and in writing.
A general curiosity and interest in business and human behavior, able to understand where risk might come from and learn from how others have dealt with it
Experience in working closely with senior management, product management, and product development in planning and carrying out strategic objectives a plus
Strong understanding of the financial services a plus
Solid Project Management skills are required
Solid Process Implementation and Maintenance skills are required
