Basic Accountability Statement

Responsible for providing support to business leaders in terms of Financial Analysis and Strategies. Complete management reporting to measure business performance against product profitability, customer profitability, pricing, and competition. Lead executive management through forecasting and budgeting exercises, as well as business case reviews of projects and products. Analyze financial data to identify trends and interpret for senior management.

General management responsibilities include the following: Responsible for setting the direction and executing the strategy for the finance discipline that is highly visible within the organization, focused on a unique specialty. Translate objectives into specific department objectives, assist the department leader with the development of the Business Unit’s annual plan and conceptualizes long range plans based on the business needs and directions of the company. Understand policy making decisions that will drive the general objectives of the assigned business function(s), and develop the framework to guide processes and subsequent measures accordingly. Functions as a subject matter expert and serves as a resource to internal and external customers who need advice to achieve the goals and objectives of their department. Manage budgetary and staffing responsibilities as directed by direct supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities

Finance expertise with detailed understanding of business, product, pricing and drivers of business/vertical being supported.

Pricing and Customer Contracts Support; Develop Pricing model, Pricing rationalization

Understand business cases and building financials around the business case; support build out of cost structure needed to complete project; assumptions documentation; ensure continuity in business case understanding

Provide finance support and structure to assist monitoring of ongoing project prioritization

Support reporting and analysis of existing cost structure to provide insight on profitability of products, platform, client initiatives and projects

Improve reporting on the results of projects and new products including development of new revenue reporting

Financial analysis, modeling and forecasting; Industry analysis; participate and contribute in business strategy

Process Management: Define a high level framework of processes, linkages, critical success factors and performance measures for business

unit finance practices that integrate the rollup of BU performance. Establish and support proactive process assessments and formulates preventive measures. Study best practices; challenges current work models and sets standards for improvement ideas.

Responsible for communicating financial performance to executive management as it relates to current year performance compared to prior year, budget, and forecast.

Responsible for the design and implementation of scorecard reporting to assist executive management in assessing if key strategies or metrics are performing as intended.

Responsible for providing consultative support to executive management as it relates to the current financial performance of the business unit.

Prepares other reports and completes or assists in special projects including M&A related activities, as required.

Project Support: Provide expert level council on special projects related to accounting and finance. Prepare detailed presentations on analysis and findings. Assess problems, identify several solutions, and make recommendations to Sr. Management.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance or an equivalent number of years experience in a related capacity in finance. MBA or CPA is desirable.

Management responsibility typically requiring 8-12 years of functional work experience in a corporate or business unit Finance capacity engaged activities related Financial analysis, and Strategies. Must have at least 5-8 years supervisory experience managing a team of finance associates.
