Job Responsibilities:
-Managing planning/budgeting activities across 7+ business units, helping to manage working capital, helping monitor and analyze a multimillion dollar corporate G and A budget, as well as researching technical accounting matters from time to time
-Perform duties with little supervision from Director once trained
-Planning and Budgeting
-Coordinate and interact with operations controllers to complete quarterly
-Reforecast process and annual Target setting process
-Responsible for compiling budgets and determining interest, debt and various other forecasted amounts
-Prepare models for due diligence or other initiatives as required by management.
-Management Reporting for Corporate business unit
-Oversee monthly analysis of G and A Expenses and Major Accruals (Pension, Group Medical, Insurance, etc.)
-Ensure timely and accurate presentation of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports and financial statements
-Prepare and distribute monthly internal financial reports, including budget variance reports, balance sheet details, and forecast information
-Cash Flow Forecasting - oversee monthly and quarterly analysis of cash flow and debt for US operating companies
-Consolidate and transmit results to Head Office in Paris; perform follow up analysis and provide explanations as questions arise Accounting Research/Implementation - Research accounting and reporting issues and stay current with all accounting and reporting requirements
-Prepare thoughtful, well written technical accounting memos when necessary
-Audit - Work with Big Four external auditors on audits of ongoing businesses, including annual audit process, quarterly reviews, etc. for each reporting package
-Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate all of Group's processes and reporting, looking for increased efficiencies and better information for management decision making
-Managerial/Supervisory - Ensure that staff of 1 or 2 professionals has necessary skills, knowledge and resources to perform their required duties
-Cross-train team members for business continuity and enhance employee skills for succession planning
-Regularly coordinate or prepare analysis as needed by Management
-Find process efficiencies, cost savings, and perform other value added activities on an ongoing basis

General Requirements:
-Strong accounting skills and knowledge of IFRS and U.S. GAAP
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
-Good interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of organization
-Ability to conceptualize and assimilate large amounts of data
-Adapt effectively to new and changing environments
-Ability to present proposals in a clear and concise manner
-Knowledge of Oracle or other ERP
-Systems aptitude and process orientation; strong computer skills are essential, including extensive use of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), Hyperion Essbase, and Oracle
-Overtime required during critical periods, such as during quarter and year ends, or for special ad hoc projects, sometimes with little notice
-Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required; advanced degree preferred
-Minimum five years of Financial Reporting experience with at least two years of supervisory experience
-Two to three years public accounting experience, Big Four experience preferred
-CPA certification strongly preferred
