Manage the financial reporting for the University, accounting for capital assets, accounting for internal and external debt, reconciliations of the general ledger and other related accounting processes. Manage the preparation of consolidated annual financial statements. Manage the annual external audit for the University's consolidated financial statements. Provide leadership and manage financial reporting and accounting function for the University. Monitor budget and determine need for and allocation of resources. Develop and supervise staff; determine staffing needs; establish goals and priorities; ensure that the Division complies with the policies and requirements of University Human Resources.

Qualifications/Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

Preferred Education:
MBA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.

Required Experience:
3 years relevant supervisory experience within a finance or accounting organization or equivalent combination. Must include experience with regulations relating to non-profit organizations. Experience preparing financial statements, and supervising staff.

Preferred Experience:
3+ years relevant experience in a progressively responsible supervisory position within finance or accounting area of a university or public accounting firm specializing in not-for-profit industry. Experience with evaluation of internal controls, reengineering and preparation of financial statements according to FASB standards 116/117. Experience in Public Accounting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. CPA.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.):
Strong accounting and analytical skills. Ability to write well, speak effectively, and work in fast-paced analytical team is essential. Ability to understand long-term goals and broader planning parameters and ability to frame results of financial and policy analysis in a clear, cogent, concise, and compelling fashion.
