Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance
Minimum 3-5 years accounting/financial reporting experience
CPA or MBA preferred
Knowledge of Insurance / Retirement products and Statutory reporting a plus
Proficient in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work overtime during peak periods

The Retirement Finance department located in Hartford, CT, Scranton, PA and Woodbridge, NJ, is responsible for accounting controls, financial reporting, planning and analysis as well as financial system and product development support.

The manager position within the Retirement Finance department includes key responsibilities such as analyzing and reporting financial results, consolidating financial forecasts and managing expenses for the Retirement Business Unit. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with business product teams, managing special projects, and staff development.

The responsibilities of this position may include:
Preparing internal management reporting documents for presentation to senior financial management
Consolidating and analyzing results of the Full Service and Institutional Investment Products profit centers
Producing insightful analytics and financial metrics in preparation of financial scorecards
Assurance of timely and accurate reporting close
Reviewing external reporting documents including earnings releases, the quarterly financial supplement and the MD&A
Support quarterly forecasting and annual budget process
Collaborating with Retirement Business Unit partners including Actuarial, Operations, Risk Management, Corporate Accounting Policy and Audit
Managing ad hoc projects sponsored by management
Providing guidance, training and development opportunities to staff
