We take pride in delivering exceptional service to our customers, and providing our employees the ultimate career opportunity. being part of a multi-cultural, global community which is shaping the future of our organization and touches the lives of people all over the world.Position Summary: The Manager Fleet Support will manage and provide technical guidance on all fleet related events on Southern Air's aircraft inclusive of managing repeats, chronics, engine condition monitoring, fault isolation, detailed troubleshooting, and OEM coordination. Responsibilities: *Provides technical assistance and fault isolation troubleshooting expertise to repetitive aircraft MELs and chronic aircraft items.*Develops technical recommendations to address chronic items as required.*Reviews aircraft ATA historical data and issues Action Plans as required.*Coordinates and schedules with the Director of Maintenance Control and maintenance controllers, ground time, manpower and parts required to address chronic maintenance items at line stations.*Reports on morning maintenance call of all chronics being tracked or building time and advises stations of any upcoming workscopes assigned.*Coordinates with the Reliability Department for data in reference to component failures, and the Repeat Items Program.*Develop detailed workscopes for Fleet Campaign Directives program as required*Manages long term out of service events in conjunction with Maintenance Control.*Reviews vendor technical issues, component failure investigations and reporting to support warranty issues.*Reviews shop teardown reports for performance and evaluation and troubleshooting as required.*Develops processes and suggests changes in the inspection and maintenance procedures to improve efficiency of Technical Support and repairs.*Serves as a member of the CASS review board and assists with analyzing CASS data and making recommendations to the CRB concerning aircraft repeat and chronic issues.*Establishes procedures and programs to improve parts consumption.*Establishes efficiency of troubleshooting tools as required.*Assists Materials with interchangeability and parts data.*Works with Materials, vendors and the field to develop component consumable kits.*Initiates revisions through an approval process to Boeing Maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, minimum equipment lists, weight and balance manuals, and operations manuals as required.*Develops project status reports to show progress and compliance with initiatives.*Develops Fleet Performance reports.*Establishes work scopes, material requirements and work assignments for special projects.*Develops product improvement modifications as directed by reliability indicators.*Reviews the Avionics and Systems portions of the Maintenance Inspection Programs and initiates changes to programs and documents accordingly.*Reviews Engine Condition Monitoring trends and is responsible for the engine watch list.*Generates Technical Notices to convey important information from maintenance tips.*Acts as project manager as assigned to initiatives related to reliability and maintenance effectiveness.*Performs additional duties assigned by the Director of Maintenance Control and Planning.Qualifications: *College degree in aviation related field*Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate*10 years Commercial transport category Maintenance experience (777 & 747-400 Strongly Preferred)*Strong Avionics background required*Previous Maintenance Control experience a plus*Previous leadership experience preferred*Working knowledge of Title 14 CFR 121 governing aircraft certification and maintenance*Ability to work in fast pace environment*Flexible work schedule required including shift, weekend, and holidays*Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills*Computer literate in Microsoft software and use of digital manuals*Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug testRelocation NOT Provided Southern Air is an equal opportunity employer.
