Lead a group of engineers responsible for the design, development, and integration of Flight Test Instrumentation. Responsibilities will span from the execution of Engineering Measurement Requirements to technical support during testing; and will include the design and development of Instrumentation and Data Acquisition systems, and the management of component calibrations. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for estimating, schedule control, budget control, staffing, employee mentoring and performance evaluations.

Job responsibilities will include:
Leadership for the continued development of an effective functional group.

Establishing new/revising existing standard work.

Development of estimates and the management of projects within assigned budget and schedules.

Integration of instrumentation build schedule with Operations production build/DFC modification schedules.

Resolution of all schedule conflicts, and timely appraisal of the group ('9s efforts.

Management of staff to achieve objectives.

Development and utilization of ACE Tools to achieve and sustain ACE Gold standards.

Fostering effective work relationships with the Flight Test disciplines, program management, and Operations.

BS degree in EE or Physics w/10+ years experience

MS degree in EE or Physics w/7+ years experience

This position requires proven knowledge and experience in the design of Instrumentation and Data Acquisition systems. Excellent written and oral skills as well as computer proficiency using Microsoft office products is required. The preferred candidate will have 5+ years experience in rotorcraft flight testing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring employee development and engagement, and will be expected to participate in a leadership capacity across the DFC in support of various EH&S, employee engagement, and ACE initiatives.
