Job Purpose :
To lead Global Marketing Research/Marketing Science (MS) initiatives for our client’s brand or Therapeutic Areas (TAs) in the development of Market Research to support commercial or franchise management business objectives; to demonstrate strong understanding of MS and spearhead initiatives, align stakeholders on objectives and deliverables and implement best practices according to recognized standards and legal and ethical processes; to define needs and deliver MS information to core business functions, recruit talent and provide training and guidance to analysts.

Major Accountabilities :Strategy Development:
Translates customer insights and competitive findings into business recommendations that deliver current and future business success for the TAs (e.g. launch tracking, segmentation, share of voice, messaging, obstacle handling, forecasting/demand modeling, etc.).
Leads the development of, and provides input into, monthly forecasts and demand models.
Supports the Strategic (Global) or Marketing Planning (Area/Affiliate) process by leading comprehensive analysis of the business, market and competition to identify opportunities to drive growth.

Operational Delivery:
Proactively delivers customer insights and integrated MS recommendations to inform business decisions that support strategy within the function.
Develops and ensures execution of integrated MS plan, including all identified customers, throughout the function.
Actively communicates and delivers insights to a variety of internal stakeholders outside of marketing, and constructively challenges brand teams.
Adheres to formal protocols and policies for the collection, assessment, classification, storage, and dissemination of market research and competitive information in accordance with corporate guidelines.
Manages TA project budgets.

Functional Excellence:
Acts as a source of functional expertise and identifies/implements key improvements to functional methodologies/working practices.
Ensures dissemination of best practice throughout the function.

Business Partnering:
Acts as single point of contact for the TA within the Franchise or Area/Affiliate.
Partners and engages Global Marketing Science in research and insights to drive superior business performance.
Establishes, develops, and maintains strong vendor/consultant relationships and negotiates cost effective contracts.

People & Organizational Leadership:
Provides training and guidance to Analysts/Senior Analysts.
Implements training program for functional team in a given methodology and supports individual team members to improve functional knowledge and core capabilities.
Supports the recruiting and interviewing process for Analyst/Senior Analyst candidates.

Minimum of 4–6 years in major medical/surgical/pharmaceutical companies in global or local positions. Of this: 3–4 years in Marketing Research (required). Some team leadership experience of Analysts is desirable.
Demonstrated steady career progression with increasing roles of responsibility.
Excellent working knowledge of primary and secondary research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) and techniques used to acquire market and competitive intelligence.
Superior critical thinking, writing, presentation, and project management skills.
Effective in leading, motivating, and achieving goals through formal and informal channels.
Ability to effectively plan, prioritize, execute and follow-up in a timely manner and anticipate problems and roadblocks.
High personal integrity and ethics with uncompromising standards.
Excellent intra/inter personnel and communciation skills.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.

Education Required:
MBA pref.
