Job Family Summary

Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships within business entity or across enterprise to achieve best total value. Includes Category and or Commodity management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management. Individuals in Global roles will be required to have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to design and execute strategies in a global environment. May be involved in forward or investment buys, plus alternative markets.

Overview
Strategic Sourcing is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing strategies to leverage relationships within business entity or across enterprise to achieve best total value. Includes Category and or Commodity management strategies and execution, supplier relationship management, negotiation, risk management and supply base performance management. Individuals in Global roles will be required to have the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience to design and execute strategies in a global environment.

Specific Responsibilities

Identify and deliver Savings from Employee Indirect Spend ($100M)
Lead Supplier Selection and Negotiation through RFP Process
Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies on Key Spend Categories
Coordinate overall pipeline of Strategic Sourcing Projects across CFN
Roll out Global Sourcing initiatives to CFN stakeholders
Leverage Indirect Spend across CFN while aligning with Business needs

Skills and Competencies

Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of best practices in strategic sourcing process for multiple, complex and/or global categories and suppliers
Utilizes comprehensive business and market data for multiple and/or complex categories to identify opportunities that may require process changes
Generate and analyze innovative sourcing options that enable value
Develops sourcing strategy specific for multiple and/or complex categories to maximize value and manage risk
Initiates, plans and executes complex projects across multiple plants & multicultural teams
Identifies, evaluates and selects preferred suppliers. This includes establishing a set of standardized supplier qualifications, performance management standard and cross-functional business review process
Executes negotiation plan and contract terms and conditions to manage risk
Leads negotiation process and team
Develops and manages strategic relationship with preferred suppliers
Has depth and breadth of experience in own job family; integrates knowledge of business and functional priorities
Applies in-depth skills and broad knowledge of the business to address complex problems and nonstandard situations
Acts as a key contributor in a complex environment

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related degree is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field
Experience with sourcing ideas and identifying/protecting intellectual property
Previous experience managing and mentoring others
Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise
