Responsible for overseeing support and management of learning management system functionalities on a College-wide basis. Responsibilities include maintaining access criteria and front-end management of course management system. Includes support for web based software applications that enhance student learning opportunities. - Administer the Blackboard (Bb) learning management system (LMS) and work with Bb support team to create / maintain / and enhance LMS. - Manage staff and support functions to provide technical support for Blackboard users. - Oversee the installation of all system updates, upgrades, building blocks, and other software integrated with Blackboard. - Collaborate through SJC governance structure to establish system defaults, policies and procedures, and strategic plans for system use and expansion. - Monitor Blackboard performance, network communication, and servers. - Manage Blackboard user accounts, groups, and systems; passwords and privileges. - Perform preventive Blackboard hardware and software maintenance, performance tuning, optimization, backend troubleshooting, integration design, development, and maintenance. - Collaborate with ITS Data Management to develop and implement processes for integration between LMS and SCT Banner system. - Collaborate with hosting services to ensure system reliability and functionality. - Maintain documentation on all operational processes. Additional Job Functions: - Interface with third party vendors to identify appropriate system add-ons and manage contracts. - Serve as key contact for LMS communications to faculty, staff and students in the event of a college emergency. - Work with college entities and organizations to create organization sites and modules within Blackboard to be used for the exchange of organizational materials. - Provide support for training sessions as needed to introduce new technologies used in Blackboard, support new faculty/staff orientations, etc. - Serve and participate on college committees when appropriate. - Identify and attend webinars / workshops /conferences / trainings for Coordinator and Blackboard. Support team to enhance understanding and skills associated with Blackboard and/or calling centers.

Salary Grade 25 - $48,635.00/Annual
Twelve (12) month position Forty (40) hours per week Monday through Friday 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Must be available for evening and weekend hours as needed
