Save the Children
The Manager, Major Gifts will work closely with the Director, Principal Gifts and Stewardship, to develop and implement an intensive fundraising strategy focused on prospects for Major Gifts to Save the Children. The Manager will maintain relationships with existing major donors, identify prospects, cultivate, solicit and steward new and existing donors.
Work under the direction of the Director, Principal Gifts and Stewardship to increase the number of high net worth donors with capacity to increase gift size; Daily cultivation activities and relationship development with major donors and prospects, monitor all prospects contacts; research and write proposals; maintain donor database among other duties.
Donor and Prospect development: In collaboration with the Director, Principal Gifts and Stewardship, identify major donor prospects and develop customized donor strategies.
Help to execute donor cultivation strategies, and be responsible for self-measuring against revenue goals and meet the goals as assigned.
Establish strong internal working relationships: Actively participate in Major Gifts team and Resource Development activities, work with volunteers and other Save the Children staff to cultivate donors.
BA and a minimum 3-5 years' fundraising experience.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with a variety of constituents and proven ability to build strong working relationships with high net worth individuals.
Excellent writing and communication skills; able to synthesize a wide range of information and create compelling narratives.
Professional presentation skills; able to inspire confidence in internal and external stakeholders.
Detail oriented, strategic and creative thinker, and problem solver.
