This position reports to the Director of Market Research and will provide Market Research support for the Gralise and Zipsor Brand teams, as well as New Products and Corporate Development initiatives, as needed. The Manager, Market Research is responsible for helping internal partners/stakeholders make informed strategic and operational decisions. She/he will facilitate and develop actionable recommendations based on market insights that address key business needs and objectives. Key responsibilities include Market Research planning, implementation, communication of results, and alignment of brand strategies and plans. The Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of market research including initiation of the RFP process, Vendor Selection, Study Design, Contract Execution, Budget Management, and providing direction on the Scope of Services to be provided by such resources. The Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning; coordination and reporting, setting time lines, scheduling participant meetings, presentations, and communicating all project progress/initiatives to Brand Teams, Senior Management, and/or Vendors, where appropriate.

Job Responsibilities: - Develop, integrate, and communicate actionable insights from multiple analytic sources and disciplines including, but not limited to: o Primary market research o Secondary business analytics o Forecasting/Production Planning o Competitive intelligence - Work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with all internal and external partners and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals/resources across multiple stakeholders and organizational initiatives. - Maintain a comprehensive and current understanding of relevant therapeutic markets, by acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas of responsibility, when required. - Develop and oversee all monthly/weekly performance reporting cycles, including report distribution for all markets; Analyze data and reports for integrity, accuracy, and interpretation on a routine basis and prior to release to customers. - Fulfill Market Research ad-hoc requests for Executive Management, Sales, Sales Operations, and Marketing and Business Development Departments. - Research and assess companies in the Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries, including secondary research. - Manage external vendors and consultants to enable effective and efficient project execution. - Ensure team deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, and budget. - Introduce innovative approaches to business problems and lead key department initiatives. - 20-25% Travel
Job Requirements: - A Master’s degree in business, management science, market research, or related field or M.B.A. is desired. - Minimum of 7 years experience, in market research (qualitative and quantitative) and/or market analysis. - Previous experience in forecasting, competitive intelligence and secondary data analysis required. - Strong understanding of all common marketing research frameworks and methods with proven ability to lead all phases of marketing research projects in a client-consultative framework. - Knowledge of pharmaceutical market research data sources is required. - Experience leading market research for in-line and pipeline products required. - Proven ability to lead market research projects related to brand positioning and messaging; experience fielding conjoint analysis & ATUs. - Experience leading market research projects in support of a launch brand. - Experience fielding market research projects to support new product forecasting. - Experience leading market research projects in support of business development including in-license and out-license analysis. - Revenue forecasting experience (including financial, marketing, and manufacturing). - Advanced proficiency of general Pharma databases required, such as IMS, WK, SDI - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access - Ability to rapidly learn new software applications and commercial databases - Capacity to translate substantial amounts of data into information - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail - Strong presentation and communication skills; must be able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior executives. - A self-starter, able to see the next step with a strong attention to detail. - Experience in supporting multiple support functions and stakeholders are required.
