Manager – Marketing Procurement
Refine and establish Vendor Management and Procurement Strategy to service our Marketing Departments with key emphasis on
Point of Sales (POS) and Events
As a business partner and advisor to our Marketing teams, this role will be responsible for assisting in the selection (via RFP), evaluation, contract development and management (e.g., scope of work, rate cards, etc.) as well as on-going vendor quality reviews and qualification processes.
A key goal of this role is to a valued partner with Marketing to extract quantitative and qualitative value from Pernod Ricard USA’s existing and potentially new vendor base that will foster a mutually beneficial environment for PRUSA to provide high quality, cost effective, and timely delivery of POS and Event related products and services that support our brand innovations and financial goals.
In addition to the Marketing Procurement Manager, the POS and Events team will have an active role in the selection and evaluation of vendors.
However, primary responsibility for establishment and management of all Advertising and Promotion (A&P) related projects with approved vendors will continue to reside with the PRUSA Marketing Teams.
Identify and prioritize material cost savings and quality improvement opportunities within our existing vendor base along with potential new vendors.
Establish policies and procedures for the effective category management of POS and Event Marketing Spend (including, but not limited sub-categories, strategic sourcing, RFP, contract negotiation partnership and coordination, and on-going vendor management).
Establish and manage initial and on-going Vendor Qualification process for all new and existing vendors as well as work with Legal and Marketing in the implementation and management of contracts in accordance with PRUSA and PR Holding policies and guidelines.
Establish/Enhance a Vendor Quality Assessment and Review Process
In partnership with the Marketing and Brand Analysis team within Finance as well as Marketing, establish and maintain Vendor Scorecards inclusive of quality and financial performance metrics.
Analyze market trends including benchmarking to identify and recommend new opportunity areas and/or maintain a favorable position
Facilitate and coordinate with Accounts Payable any additions, deletions, and modifications to the Marketing Vendor Master File for new and existing Marketing POS and Events Vendors.
Partner with the Marketing and Brand Analysis Team within finance to ensure on-going and timely utilization and compliance with the Purchase Order process in respective vendor contracts.
Oversee and coordinate the use of a third party vendor to assist in the expediting of implementation of the above processes #2 through #7
A third party will initially be used to expedite the development of the processes to support POS and Event procurement.
This will determine what, if any, additional headcount and potential expansion to other marketing categories will occur.

Ensure the quality, confidentiality, and social responsibility of all in all undertakings on behalf of Pernod Ricard.
Establishment and management of project timelines and delivery.
Active partnership in the vendor management process with the PRUSA Marketing Team (i.e., POS and Events).
Determines and proposes changes of priorities in line with financial, business and organization objectives in coordination with the Vice President Purchasing and New Product Development
4 Years College - Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum 6 years demonstrated experience with inclusive of Marketing Purchasing and Vendor Management
Strong business acumen, especially as regards the deep understanding of the Marketing spends critical
role in the context of a Wine and Spirits or related Consumer Products/Beverage company.
Excellent analytical, negotiation, interpersonal skills with a proven record of measurable achievements
in a Procurement setting
Experience of procurement transformation, change and business engagement will be an advantage
Experience in Wine and Spirits or Food and Beverage related products a plus.
Professional procurement of Marketing, especially services for Consumer Goods/Branded Products
agency management and/or marketing operations experience across
, Consumer Insights, Events and Sampling)
Commercial acumen with strong project management skills – ability to manage multiple projects with stretched deadlines
Work is performed in a typical office environment.
Limited demands for movement and lifting.
Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
Travel is expected and required with vendors and with PRUSA Corporate Offices in NY, NY.
