The Manager of Ad Sales Research supports Sales & Ad Sales Marketing efforts across the NBC News and MSNBC group portfolio.
The Manager works with the Associate Director and Director to provide strategic and customized research solutions that are focused on optimizing and driving revenue. He/she will also be responsible for mining data, reporting, and seeking innovative approaches to addressing client objectives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain solid, on-going relationships with Ad Sales and Marketing teams in order to understand the issues and priorities of the sales department.
Support 15+ sales AE’s and managers by providing persuasive analyses that strategically align viewer attributes with client objectives in order to grow client base of advertisers and achieve revenue goals.
Work with ad sales marketing group to create sales collateral for the advertising sales department.
Analyze network performance and identify positive stories for use by network account executives.
Create presentation materials for sales, which include: ratings highlight sheets, advertising category decks, and client-specific presentations.
Track, analyze, and report network performance and competitive landscape data to sales team. Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications
Proficiency of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel Outlook and PowerPoint).
Expertise in media research systems – particularly Nielsen (i.e., NPower and Galaxy), MRI, and Simmons.
3+ years’ experience working in research at a media company
