DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for identifying, evaluating and launching new products, both in Vesta's current markets and in adjacent verticals. Initially, this will primarily involve evaluating, optimizing and managing the current portfolio of new products and services that Vesta has already developed. This person must have strong analytical skills, the ability to build solid business cases and sell them to all levels of management, and hands-on experience launching new businesses. The New Product Development Manager must also have a strong track record of identifying and establishing strategic partnerships that will help deliver new solutions, new channels and new clients. The individual must regularly demonstrate flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization, as well as outside clients, vendors and partners.

DUTIES

Develop and manage overall new product development strategy, including the identification, quantification and prioritization of new business opportunities.
Take ownership of existing portfolio of new businesses, making recommendations on which ones have the most upside, developing the supporting business plans, and most importantly, executing to get them to market.
Detailed analysis of market trends, business trends and companies to identify new business and partnership opportunities.
Develop and present comprehensive business plans to support new business and partnership recommendations.
Communicate customer needs and/or requirements to the proper internal Vesta departments as necessary and work with internal teams to develop customer solutions.
Leverage alliances to enhance product strategies and create new revenue opportunities for the Company, where possible.
Develop proposals, conduct presentations, and represent delivery capabilities throughout the sales and delivery process.
Work closely with Vesta leadership team, Sales Engineering, Program Management, and Marketing.
Have a disposition toward 'action' to make sure things get done.

QUALIFICATIONS

Total work experience of at least 7 years. Minimum of four years hands-on experience driving new product and business development activities.
Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the electronic payments and/or wireless industries is a must.
Experience in developing successful partnerships with a variety of technology providers including system integrators, mobile operators, internet providers, web 2.0 developers etc.
Strategic, precise and analytical with the ability to create market development strategies, develop proposals and sales related presentations.
Ability to translate new business opportunities into detailed, actionable requirements to allow product management, business analysts and engineering to successfully support new business opportunities.
Results driven with consistent track record of meeting and exceeding goals and objectives.
Comfortable speaking with c-level executives as well as individual contributors.
Driven, success-oriented, flexible team player who can juggle multiple and/or changing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Must have demonstrated history of impeccable integrity, ethics and fair play.
Bachelor's degree; graduate degree or MBA preferred.
Domestic Travel as required 10-25%.
