PopCap Games’ Online Marketing Strategy team provides a full range of support to our game franchises in key disciplines, including acquisition, engagement, and content management. Our team is looking for an ambitious and talented online marketing strategy professional to help analyze and report on activities within our online marketing channels. The manager of Online Marketing Strategy will work with the Director of Online Marketing, channel owners, game analysts, and Franchise marketing and product teams to develop channel-specific key performance indicators that map directly to the success metrics of individual product lines. This is a unique opportunity to help reimagine the online marketing strategy discipline at PopCap.

Provide a cross-franchise perspective on online marketing programs and use data to derive and evangelize best practices in online marketing

Create and maintain regular reports and dashboards for online marketing activities

Help develop, in partnership with Franchise game analysts, standard operational metrics for cross-game performance analysis

Create and maintain a regular reporting cadence in partnership with marketing channel managers

Ensure that marketing analysis and reporting supports and helps drive PopCap’s forecasting and planning activities

Help develop, with PopCap's head of CRM, customer segmentation and churn analysis

Develop metrics for analyzing customers and performance of the PopCap label overall

Assist with other consumer research as needed, including survey research and market analysis

Assist with A/B … N and multivariate testing setup and performance analysis

Required Experience and Background:
2-5 years experience in business strategy, operations, or marketing analyst role

Exceptional reporting skills including a history of creating useful, regular reports to communicate trends in key business metrics

Prior experience creating and delivering reports for VP and C-level audiences on tight deadlines

Previous experience working with LTV and churn models for subscription-based online businesses, and / or deep experience working with customer behavior models in an online retail business

High-levels of creativity and persistence in accessing and presenting data from multiple sources, rooted in a firm understanding of statistics and scientific method

Must be an Excel rockstar; experience with Tableau a strong asset

Demonstrated history of success working with multiple tools and data sources to provide relevant and insightful analysis that drives business decisions

Broad understanding of online marketing disciplines and key concepts related to customer acquisition, engagement and retention

Proven experience as a change leader, building and implementing new cross-functional business processes

Desire and ability to learn SQL

Self-starter with ability to thrive under pressure in a fast paced, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment

Exceptional ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and solve complex problems quickly

Excellent communication skills: must be able to work with analysts, product managers, data engineers and marketers alike and have them all think you’re the best thing since Bejeweled

Education and/or Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree required in economics, business, marketing or related discipline; MBA or equivalent preferred

Candidates with strong analytical skills in non-business disciplines – econometrics, statistics, bioinformatics, etc. – also encouraged to apply
