ROLE PURPOSE:
  • Manager, Original Programming and Development, NBC Sports Network will be responsible for helping to develop, write, produce and edit original content for NBCSN including documentaries, docu-series, docu-dramas, studio programming, digital content, specials, and branded content.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with original studio CP’s to develop and produce daily/weekly predator assignments
  • Liaison with marketing to help create campaigns around new original series, one-offs, and specials
  • Collaborate with sales to help create and oversee branded entertainment initiatives
  • Produce, write, and edit original long and short form pilots
  • Team with the research and social media departments to best program original content
  • Work with the Senior Manager of Original Development department to help oversee independent production companies with all non-studio focused original content (ie “36” and “Shark Hunters”)


  • Qualifications/Requirements
    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience in TV or Sports development
  • Must be a self-starter, assertive, enthusiastic and highly motivated leader
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exhibit flexibility, and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team
  • Understands and can exercise journalistic integrity
  • Proficient in Avid Media Composer
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and high-energy environment

  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT

  • Desired Characteristics
  • Creative and innovative thinker; detailed oriented with execution
  • Able to shoot on Canon 5D/7D, Sony EX-3, and similar small to medium format cameras
  • Able to operate some audio equipment
  • Comfortable learning new media management systems (ie: MAM)
  • Understanding of show rundowns built in iNews
