San Joaquin Community Hospital is recruiting for the position of Manager, Plant Operations. Our facility is comprised of one, non-profit community hospital, two parking garages, several Medical Office Buildings and several off-site buildings totaling 700,000+ square feet all located in Bakersfield California. Shift varies with usual hours 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
Qualified candidates will be responsible for all building maintenance while providing direct supervision of Plant Operations employees in the daily execution of their responsibilities. This person will manage directly and indirectly a staff of approximately 20-30 technical employees.
Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience in the Facilities/Maintenance/Construction fields.
BS degree in mechanical, industrial, engineering preferred.
Shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a supervisor in a hospital setting.
Shall be knowledgeable of electrical, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, and power plant systems.
Shall be knowledgeable of construction/project management and maintenance programs and systems.
Shall be familiar with applicable local, state and federal codes, CMS, NFPA, JCAHO, Title 24 and OSHA regulations as related to health care and health care related facilities.
Familiarity with Trane, TriSignal and Swisslog systems shall be helpful.
Shall be knowledgeable in use of Microsoft Office and proficient in using computers.
Customer service, patient satisfaction and employee engagement.
Maintain a constant state of readiness for regulatory agency reviews.
Implement successful corrective and preventive maintenance strategies/protocol to maintain plant equipment
Staffing, scheduling, training and employee development
Assist with development and manage operations and capital budgets
Identify and implement processes to reduce equipment downtime and improve energy efficiency.
