Manager, Pricing and Planning-New York, NY
Fox Sports Media Group is seeking a Manager of Pricing and Planning. The individual will be responsible for daily components of the Sales Planning function including short term tactical reporting and inventory management, support the Director with forecasting and budget input/analysis as directed, partner with other key departments including Sales Coordination Traffic, Research, Sales and Finance to ensure requisite tools are in place for the creation and maintenance of deals and the maximization of inventory/revenue. There will be a moderate level of supervision required.
Handle daily maintenance of the ad sales ratecard from schedule receipt from network programming, to packaging/positioning review within P&P, to psn input by Commercial Admin, to audience estimating by Research, to pricing release through Pace by P&P.
Ensure sales has a mission critical tool by which to effectively sell/manage network deals.
Create/update reports on deals, inventory and revenue.
Provide management needed information to set strategy and report status to corporate.
Short term inventory management
Oversees sales re: resolution of preempted and oversold units to protect booked revenue.
Develop agenda items for, and run, weekly Planner meeting(s).
Ensures Planners are up current re: policy and ratecard/inventory status.
Bachelors Degree required.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Strong practical mathematical skills.
Excel proficiency. Experience with Ad Sales systems, preferably both operational and strategic components.
Analytical ability, capable of managing people and processes,
strong follow through, detail orientation.
