KBR is seeking a Logistics Manager who with general autonomy, ensures the effective performance of all activities associated with Logistics work for a major project, a manufacturing or service delivery center or defined business area. To be responsible for the performance and reporting spend and volume activities of contracted service providers and project logistics activities. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Plans, organizes, creates contracts, manages and continually improves the logistics processes and work methods
Manages personnel engaged in the coordination and execution of logistics services
Interfaces with internal and external customers to ensure customer expectations are being achieved
Manages subordinate personnel in the proper understanding and usage of discipline specific systems, policies and procedures
akes recommendations to leadership regarding improvement of discipline processes/practices
Job role has direct impact on planning, growth, efficiency and the profitability of operations. Some travel may be required for this position
BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIRED
An undergraduate degree in Maritime Administration or Industrial Engineering or equivalent engineering, logistics, supply chain, business or related field is required. A graduate degree in Industrial Engineering or MBA or equivalent with concentration in supply chain is preferred
Experienced in managing the logistics activities of at least one EPC project with a construction site outside the US or involving significant international sourcing
10 years of experience in managing logistics activities for EPC projects, including the building up of a team to manage general freight, heavy haul, customs clearance and the commercial management of a logistics budget in excess of $25 Million
