Job Title: Manager, Product Implementation (PHACTS)

CareFusion Business Description

The PHACTS portfolio of products from CareFusion helps hospital pharmacies better manage inventory, reduce pharmaceutical costs and streamline operations. PHACTS software helps hospitals automatically track drug inventories in near real time across pharmacy locations. PHACTS automation products support efficient packaging and labeling of medications within the pharmacy. Combined, these solutions help hospitals accelerate inventory turns, maintain stock at optimal levels and reduce waste from expired drugsā€”all resulting in lower medication costs.


The Manager, Product Implementation is responsible for managing a diverse team of implementation resources and project managers that are responsible for implementing CareFusion dispensing products. He or she is also responsible for the accurate forecast and delivery of monthly and quarterly implementation goals for their region. They will ensure that a consistent methodology based on best practices is used to efficiently install CareFusion systems. Through coordination efforts with field service and technical support resources, the MPI ensures excellent customer service.

This is a home-based position with travel. The successful candidate will reside anywhere in the U.S. near a major airport. Specific duties include:

Staff Management - Recruits, coaching, mentoring, developing
Financial Management - Forecasting, expense management, etc. Monitors and controls expenses to budget.
Customer Management - Escalation, Problem Resolution, etc.
Sales Management - Proposals, Quote support, presentations, etc.

Education or Equivalent:
Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent education and work experience.

Experience or Equivalent:
Healthcare industry experience required; clinical nursing / hospital materials experience preferred. Three years or equivalent direct management experience including managing of remote staff. Eight years of product implementation experience, installing computerized healthcare solutions a plus. Additional experiences considered a plus include: consulting; business/financial management; capital equipment business processes.

Must have strong communication skills with direct reports, customers, home office and other local teams (verbal and written). Must be able to manage customer and subordinate expectations. Must have ability to collaborate effectively over geographies, product lines and organizational boundaries.


Excellent project leadership and administrative skills required. Must be detail oriented with adept business sense and the ability to direct employees towards meeting the company's objectives. Requires excellent problem resolution abilities

Demonstrates proficiency at learning and using technologies necessary to complete their job.

Management/supervisory experience or experience leading projects or teams required. Must possess excellent organizational skills with the flexibility to readily adapt to change. Demonstrates proficiency at prioritization of tasks/responsibilities.

Must have enthusiasm for educating direct reports on new products and processes. Demonstrate proficiency at leading change for the organization and team. Physical/Mental Requirements:
This position requires a high degree of analytical thinking, problem solving and the ability to deal effectively and rapidly with complex concepts. Upon hire, must provide proof of, and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox) Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis.

Work Environment:
Travel may range from 50% - 70%, overnight travel. Position requires flexible working hours, including some nights and weekends. Ability to work independently from home office.
