The Manager, Programs and Projects, Clinical Excellence (CE), will report to the Senior Vice President Clinical Excellence and/or their designee and work with appropriate staff within Clinical Excellence to accomplish the tactics required to achieve the Health Care That Is Safe (HCTS) priorities. This will be done in collaboration with the system office CE staff, ministry affinity groups and their clinical leadership teams. These interactions will be consistent with our distributed leadership model. The Manager will also provide project planning and management support to the various Clinical Excellence departmental goals aligned with HCTS tactics.

Responsibilities:

Works in partnership to support the VP Clinical Excellence Operations/VPs and CE staff to establish tactics targeted at achieving HCTS Priorities for Action. Provides project support to assure key deliverables, budget targets and related timelines are met for various projects within Clinical Excellence.

Facilitates and orchestrates activities, to assist in problem identification and resolution, consensus building, mediation and project planning and completion.

Provides input and develops project management plans to support HCTS strategic initiatives.

Creates and implements systems and infrastructure to track, evaluate, catalog and optimize project management.

Develops briefings, reports and project summaries to support HCTS initiatives.

Carries out special projects or duties as assigned.

Assists in identifying and evaluating good practices, both internal and external; utilizes existing venues to foster information sharing and transfer.

Manages relationships with external vendors that offer technology and services that impact Clinical Excellence.

Communicates with Health Ministries on a regular basis to provide education, regulatory requirements, training, and support in accordance with Clinical Excellence initiatives.

Coordinates and develops components of Clinical Excellence initiatives

Ensures that best practices for initiatives are shared with clinical professionals throughout the health system including infection control practitioners, quality professionals, nurses, physicians, and senior leadership.

Responsible for educating clinicians regarding initiatives as it relates to definitions, metrics, and data collection to ensure adequate understanding, buy-in, and incorporation into daily practices and operations.

Monitors clinical excellence metrics for each facility to ensure compliance and goal achievement.

Provides consultation to each facility as needed

Facilitates multi-disciplinary teams to garner understanding and support for health system initiatives.

Responsible for monitoring the healthcare environment to identify best practices, government regulations, and innovative solutions to share with health system clinicians.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree required, Master’s Degree in Business, Planning, Finance, Health Administration or other related field preferred; have 3-5 years of business
experience, including a significant track record of progressively responsible positions in a complex health related organization such as a multi-hospital system or major consulting firm.

  • Be able to think and work in partnership with a project sponsor; yet function effectively in a team environment.
