Scope of Position
This position, under general direction from the Director, Quality Control, performs multiple functions in support of the Operations & Maintenance department relevant to Quality Control issues.
Reports to: Director, Quality Control
Division/Department: Quality Control / Operations & Maintenance
General office conditions. The Quality Control Manager is able to work in the field and at height for observation purposes.
Supervise and direct QC Technicians.
Schedule and coordinate customer site audits (product audits)
Prepare, and disseminate product audit reports.
Database and analyze trends of key process indicators
Schedule and coordinate EDF Renewable Energy internal audit. Manage unplanned audit results, database and
analyze trends in findings, and manage the subsequent corrective action process.
With site leadership, define scope and method for customer End of Warranty Inspections. Provide site leadership
with inspection tools, techniques, and documentation assistance. ·
Maintain library of O&M manuals for associated sites. Maintain library of OEM Engineering Change Notices. Maintain Library of EDF Renewable Energy Engineering Change Notices.
Ensure that tools used by Operations provide the expected mechanical and electrical outcomes by defining use, maintenance, and calibration requirements. (The requirements are to be administered by Operations.)
Interact with department heads to align activities with business needs All other job-related duties as
Five years of supervisory/leadership experience
Five years of experience in quality related functions
Two years wind industry (or related) experience
Experience with basic statistical methods and data analysis ·
Experience developing, writing, and defining graphical and written processes and procedures.
Exceptional communication skills.
Advanced user of analytical software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
