In this position, you will play a critical role

managing the Quality Management program across the Integrated Home Care Business Unit (“IHC”).

Manages and executes a wide scope of operational support projects aimed at meeting established goals via quality and outcomes driven process improvement initiatives.

Works closely with the IHC Medical Director, Director of Compliance and other clinical leaders to facilitate ongoing monitoring and assessment of quality improvement projects across the IHC.


Works with Director of Quality Management in CCM and with Univita’s CMO on Corporate Quality Management Committee Activities and cross enterprise initiatives.

Provides coaching/staff development for project management and six sigma methodologies to colleagues.

Supports compliance and clinical teams on other non-quality related projects as team, organization, and business need requires.

Supports IHC Quality Committee efforts and is responsible for the IHC accreditation compliance, survey readiness, survey facilitation for URAC and TJC (or other accrediting agencies).

Works in close collaboration with other individuals/committees as it relates to URAC and/or quality management initiatives across the Univita enterprise.

Responsible for leadership and maintenance of corporate-wide program accreditation activities such as URAC for Univita Nursing Management Services in partnership with Director of Quality Management (CCM) and CMO (executive sponsor), and TJC for the DME/R and Infusion Pharmacy.

Oversees the primary activities of individuals involved in Univita Nursing Management Services, DME/R, and Infusion Pharmacy’s quality management program descriptions, annual quality work plans and evaluation of work plan activities.

Responsible for completion of all quality management initiatives and quality improvement projects for the IHC (QIP’s).

Develops, in conjunction with IHC clinical leadership, Nursing Management Services, DME/R and Infusion Pharmacy’s quality management program descriptions, annual quality work plans and evaluation of work plan activities.

Establishes and monitors quality metrics and internal audit process.

Accountable for identifying, developing action plan, and leading the process improvement (PI) initiatives and activities that increase department effectiveness, efficiency and staff satisfaction.

Responsible for maintaining URAC certification for IHC’s Nursing Management Services including maintenance of all Policies and Procedures, clinical criteria, required audits and onsite URAC reviews in conjunction with IHC clinical and operations leadership, led by IHC’s Senior Medical Director.

Serves as the Quality system functional owner to lead, develop, and update the department process level policy (PLP), procedures (PR) and monitoring matrix.

Forms and directs team to complete projects on time; resolves team and project conflicts, provides project leadership to team members.

Assesses progress and reports status to management and key stakeholders including progress, timelines and milestones; provides timely written and/or verbal communication regarding project status and maintains meeting/committee minutes to satisfy accreditation requirements of URAC and TJC.

Anticipates risks and develops mitigation plans.

Shares information and transfers knowledge to team members at project close.

Facilitates establishment of documentation, including audit processes and metrics, for functional areas that support/impact department.

Supports Univita Nursing Management, DME/R and Infusion Pharmacy leadership and their teams on other initiatives as needed and other duties as assigned.


Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

URAC accreditation experience in UM, CM or DM - preferable 2 years or more

Extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry specific to systems implementation, organizational management, and program content quality assurance.

At least 8 years work and experience in Quality Management in the healthcare industry.

Utilization management and case management experience helpful.

Proficient in Windows including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Must be an effective team player who takes the initiative.

Must have some project management and implementation experience.

Extensive knowledge of the field with advanced leadership skills

Required to uphold the principles of compliance as outlined in the Code of Conduct, Employee Handbook and related policies and procedures.

Supports and participates in the mandatory Corporate Compliance Program training initiative on an annual or more frequent basis, as required.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree.

Project Management experience - preferably 5 years or more.

Black Belt/Six Sigma experience - preferably 1 year or more.

Project Management certification.

Experience may be substituted for education
