The Manager, Recruitment is responsible for managing and coordinating the work of Recruitment staff to ensure achievement of annual Recruitment and fundraising goals, and to assure effective and efficient education and retention of potential donors and overall implementation of Recruitment strategies. Works with the Regional Director in analysis of operational data, developing overall Recruitment and fundraising strategies for the district, implementing Recruitment and Marketing plans through supervised staff and trained Volunteers.

Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in relevant field.

Minimum Experience:
Five years in a Sales & Marketing or business development leadership role, (preferably including experience in marrow/blood or organ donor Recruitment) or three years of experience in a leadership role recruiting donors for the NMDP or an affiliate. Fundraising experience required, professional fundraising experience preferred.

Key Knowledge:
Advanced Sales expertise and Marketing knowledge; Project management expertise and budget administration.

Key Skills:
Strong leadership skills; effective oral and written communication including public speaking and presentation skills; strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to interact with and influence people from various ethnic and racially diverse cultures; analytical and problem solving skills; strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines; demonstrated relationship management skills including conflict resolution.

Other Requirements:
Must be willing and available to travel within region as needed (25%-50%), work evening/weekends. Occasional national travel, 6-8 trips per year. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
