Responsible for developing and monitoring training programs as required by regulatory agencies that oversee Company operations. Assists other departments with the definition, delivery and tracking of training requirements. Works closely with other departments when developing programs for regulatory training compliance matters. Actively partners with regional vendors to provide consistent quality training solutions. Designs creative training solutions through a wide variety of training media and locations, including classroom instruction, computer based training, on-site training and materials design. Tracks and analyzes training compliance data utilizing specific reporting and data management systems. Makes recommendations for systems' parameters to support audit and reporting requirements. Analyzes training to monitor effectiveness of training solutions and to implement suggestions for improvements. Recommends changes to the training programs to ensure program content and quality of learning. May provide direction to other trainers and/or contracted vendors.
May also perform various administrative and logistical support duties as required,
such as material distribution and classroom set up.
Employees are accountable to management and each other to ensure every task is done safely in accordance with Management Systems or business unit procedures with the objective of continuously improving our processes.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
3-5 years closely related experience such as classroom instruction, training program development, and/or training regulatory compliance. Industry experience highly desirable. Proficient with computers and Microsoft software. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
Bachelors degree in education, training and development, or instructional design technology, or certification in either human performance technology or instructional design.
All Crowley positions require proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word. Some positions may also include proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
Predominantly normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. However may be exposed to noise, extreme temperatures, and hazardous materials, within regulatory limits, during on-site training. Ability to work outside and travel to other company areas of operation. Requires work both in the office, at company remote locations and outside. Must comply with all work rules, including those pertaining to safety and health.
