The Manager, Sales Analytics, will be responsible for working with commercial stakeholders to identify questions regarding sales performance (successes, opportunities and challenges) that can be answered using available data sources (product sales data, target account profile data, call data, prescription fulfillment data) and developing analyses and reports that answer these questions and provide actionable insights. In addition, this position will manage and mentor a sales analyst who is supporting Pharmaceutical Operations and Product Access.

Responsibilities
Work with Sales Management, Marketing, Pharmaceutical Operations and Product Access to
create and monitor key sales metrics.
Conduct ongoing and ad hoc sales analyses.
Work with Sales Operations to develop new sales reports / dashboards and modify existing
ones.
Work with Sales Operations to identify and obtain necessary internal and external data.
Work with Sales Management and Sales Operations to model and recommend sales force size, coverage, alignment and targeting.
Work with Sales Management and Sales Operations to develop sales manager and sales
representative business reviews and plans.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years in pharmaceutical industry and at least 5 years experience with sales
analytics, sales reporting and/or sales operations.
Sales management and/or sales training experience preferred.
Experience with specialty injectables preferred.

Knowledge / Skills Needed

Strong analytical skills.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills. Proficiency with VBA and SQL preferred.
Proficient with other Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Word.
Working knowledge of pharmaceutical sales data sources such as IMS Health, Wolters Kluwer Health and SDI.
Working knowledge of CRM solutions. Knowledge of Veeva or salesforce.com preferred.
Personal Attributes Needed
Ability to develop and articulate actionable, fact-based, insights and recommendations.
Ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to address complex business questions.
Ability to coordinate and influence the efforts of cross-functional teams.
Ability to work on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines.
