We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager at our Corporate Headquarters in Bern Township, Central Berks County, PA. The Sr. Manager will administer all activities associated with the procurement of materials and services in a cost effective, high quality and timely manner to ensure optimum bottom line results using honest, fair and ethical business practices. The Sr. Manager will effectively communicate with all Global manufacturing facilities and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, excellent product quality, continuous improvement for cost reductions and improved cycle times.
Essential Job Duties
Exercising discretion and independent judgment when dealing with critical matters within the Corporate Purchasing Department.
Under the direction of the Vice President, administering all purchasing-related activities to procuring materials and services in a cost-effective, high quality, and timely manner to ensure optimum bottom line results in an honest, fair, and ethical manner.
Effectively communicating with all manufacturing facilities and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, excellent product quality, continuous improvement for cost reductions, and improving lead times.
Worldwide supply chain management.
Maximizing cash flow as related to purchasing activities.
Product sourcing, supplier selection, price negotiation and resolution of supplier performance issues for a multiple plant, global business.
Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and pricing.
Performing cost analyses to identify areas of opportunity to reduce cost.
Pro-actively exploring new programs for continuous improvements in material and process changes to achieve the best quality, reliability, pricing, and delivery with suppliers.
Pricing and contract negotiations for all assigned commodities and projects.
Collecting and formulating data advising the Vice President of potential problem areas and making suggestion for corrective action.
Monthly activities, to include preparing of monthly reports, analyzing monthly purchase price variances, cost improvement activities, and stock authorizations at suppliers.
Arranging for the sale and/or disposal of excess and obsolete inventory.
Establishing and maintaining Supplier Diversity program.
Performing other duties as assigned.

A BS Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, or Engineering.
At least 7 years of current purchasing experience.
At least 5 years of experience negotiating pricing and supplying direct materials for a manufacturing company, preferably with an international footprint.
Having responsibility of at least 3 categories in raw materials or direct materials.
Willing and able to travel 30% both domestically and internationally.
Familiarity with MS office Suite and ERP systems.
Masters degree desirable.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, planning, and analytical skills.
Individual should be highly motivated and committed to professional standards and performance.
