Position Purpose

The Manager/Lead, Talent Management is responsible for the development, on-going evolution, maintenance and process management of Avanade’s career management framework, tools and processes. This position develops and delivers the career model resources required to ensure employees have the resources they need to advance their careers and execute on Avanade' strategic agenda.

Key Responsibilities
-Develop a strong partnership with Global, Area, and Regional HR teams to ensure effective adoption of organizational change
- Analyze differing local needs and align with global processes to effectively support those needs
- Analyze and recommend improvements to processes, practices and policies to ensure leading edge Talent Management practices are in use
- Conduct overview sessions to introduce employees to career options, tools, and opportunities
- Advise and support HR Partners on talent management related issues
- Interact with executive management as a regular part of the needs analysis, development, and implementation of programs
- Support recruiting, onboarding, succession planning, and other Talent Management needs
- Develop processes, tools, collaterals, communications and change plans to execute Talent Management projects
- Manage local and remote resources effectively to deliver excellent results on schedule
- Coordinate and manage related projects as assigned

Qualifications

Years of Experience
-6+ years related experience in a combination of competency modeling, career management, employee learning, performance management and organizational development
- 4+ years of proven record of large project management/ implementations
- 2+ years of experience working in a large global organization; Experience in Professional Services and/or a complex multi-tiered technology solutions environment
- Demonstrated experience working with people from multiple cultures

Management Experience
-Experience managing remote team members preferred

Education
-BS or BA degree Human Resources, Organization Development, Psychology, Social Sciences or related area

-Thorough understanding of organizational development and talent management issues
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills
- A proven track record of organizing, tracking and delivering projects ensuring high quality with minimal guidance
- Demonstrated customer focus, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong client focus and outstanding consulting skills
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Fast and agile learner across technical and functional subject areas
- Demonstrated ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
- Strong action and results orientation
- Must be able to function independently and handle ambiguity
- Passion for HR as a driver of business results.

Position-specific requirements include:
Career Modeling
-Act as primary subject matter expert for Avanade’s career model, including approach, tools, processes, and website
- Proven experience developing and implementing competency models, leveling guidelines, career paths, and other materials related to career development
- Understand the career development / career management needs of our employees by skills family from the perspective of business stakeholders, employees and HR
- Lead analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of scalable, global talent management programs
- Develop, maintain and implement Skill Family specific Career Models, including competency models and leveling guidelines
- Oversee Avanade's career site, responsible for knowledge and content management on the site
- Develop, maintain and implement lateral career paths for employees
