Responsible for all matters pertaining to AAR
Airlift flight operations, including regulatory
compliance and all operations programs.
Set departmental goals and objectives as a
critical part of meeting or exceeding the
companys mission and obligation.
Supervise all Standards & Training personnel in
the performance of their duties and be sure that
they are functioning as a cohesive team in order
to accomplish the departments assigned mission.
Manage and standardize all instructors and
ensure that the proper tools are in place for
those individuals to perform their assigned work
Develop and oversee all training programs and
ensure their relevance, accuracy and regulatory
Ensure all training records have accuracy and
are within regulatory compliance.
Direct the selection process and manage its
effectiveness in producing the highest caliber
of employee in a timely manner.
Maintain currency in one type of fixed wing and
one type of rotor wing aircraft.
Maintain a training schedule and distribute
appropriately to internal customers.
Maintain an intimate knowledge of FAA
regulations, orders, and notices as they apply
to the entire operation.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on
regulatory matters and respond to questions from
senior management, customers, and students as
Serve as a flight instructor where required.
Establish staffing levels commensurate with
current and projected workload.
Maintain a reference library for use by all
company personnel to address all operational and
training concerns and questions.
Assist the Director of Operations when required
in the performance of duties or decision making
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined in 22 C.F.R. §
Bachelors degree (B. S.) from a four-year
college or university in an aviation related
field and/or 8 years combination of education
FAA Flight Instructor Certificate with Airplane
Single and Multiengine, Instrument-Airplane, or
Rotorcraft-Helicopter rating or military
FAA Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or
commercial certificate pilot with Airplane
Single and Multiengine Land, or Rotorcraft-
Minimum of five (5) years experience as an
aviation instructor and/or oversight of aviation
Minimum of five (5) years experience in
aviation regulatory oversight, civilian or
Must have extensive operational experience in
operations conducted under 14 CFR Parts 61, 91,
125, 133, 135 and 141.
Airplane Single and Multiengine Land or
Rotorcraft-Helicopter experience is required.
Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Programs as well as have experience in database
