Description/Job Summary
Innovation Manager
Position reports to Director, Market Intelligence
Responsibilities:
Acts as the single point of ownership for new product projects
Conducts market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and develop tailored go-to-market strategies
Manages new products from idea/concept through commercialization using a state gate process
Owns the project business case from inception through product launch and post-commercialization monitoring
Builds and manages complex project plans spanning extended time periods and interfacing with almost all business functions
Provides cohesion among cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating problem-solving and adding structure for resolution
Collects, develops and refines product attributes and requirements with input from relevant stakeholders (e.g., customers/consumers, internal experts, executives, etc.)
Acts as gatekeeper for requirement changes throughout the development process
Supports development by recommending creative, innovative approaches to breakthrough barriers and challenge conventional thinking
Works closely with global and domestic marketing team to develop sales collateral and marketing materials
Provides project status and gate review documents as requested to clearly report progress, budgets, issues and risks

Required Experience
Qualifications / Experience:
5 years of experience in marketing/innovation with emphasis on product development (CPG/FMCG experience a plus)
Ability to manage multiple complex tasks at once
Must have strong decision-making and problem solving skills
Must have a sense of urgency and be deadline-oriented
Must have strong analytical skills
Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
Must possess a high degree of tolerance for uncertainty since new product development is ever changing
Must be able to travel 10% (including international)

Bachelor's Degree required, MBA optional
