In collaboration with Vice President Patient Services and Medical Director, has 24-hour accountability and is responsible for all activities affecting patient care in a designated area. Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the patient care given, personnel and unit management. Maintains high visibility within designated areas of responsibility. Participates in a collaborative management structure that shares responsibilities and functions across traditional department/unit boundaries. Provides direction and administrative support to multidisciplinary teams who provide care and services to persons and families of Rockford Health System. Responsible and shares in collaborative responsibilities to ensure the accomplishment of area/unit and service line goals and objectives which support the vision and values of Rockford Health System. Acts as expert resource to multidisciplinary teams and units as well as liaison to both providers, consumers, and other constituencies in the community.

Education: Master's degree in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing with five years experience in psychiatric and mental heatlh nursing with some management experience.
Work Experience: Progressive behavioral health experience including administrative experience required.; Experience with mental health code and legal issues surrounding inpatient care required.
License/Certification: Current Illinois RN Licensure; Current CPR certification
