Ensures Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 compliance of the Controller's group, compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and oversight for the reconciliation of all corporate cash and bank accounts. Provides direction to individuals in other internal departments with accounting issues which impact their processes. Reviews processes and manages cross-functional projects from inception through implementation using quality improvement methodology.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities:
Monitor and assist Controller's group to ensure compliance with SOX 404 and other internal policies and procedures.
Review processes and evaluate for automation, simplification, and internal control compliance.
Monitor bank accounts and resolution of cash issues with Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll and Technology.
Manage cross-functional projects from inception to implementation.
Provide assistance to General Accounting and Technical Accounting and Reporting as needed.
Coordinate Internal Audit direct assistance for Accounting & Reporting (A&R) group.
Oversee account reconciliation process, procedures, and resolution of issues.
Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related major field of study
3 or more years of Accounting experience required
Certifications/Licenses: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
In addition to meeting the above qualifications, any of the following is preferred:
Masters degree from an accredited institution in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
3 or more years of experience with Oracle General Ledger and SOX process documentation, reconciliation, and project management
