The core responsibilities of the Manager, Corporate Finance position involves supporting the Corporate Treasury group in virtually all "mission critical" Treasury & Corporate Finance activities, including:

Ownership of NiSource's ongoing interest expense projections and monthly/quarterly variance explanations and reconciliations

Preparation of Treasury's Monthly Update Book for distribution to senior management

Leadership role in organizing the 10Q/10K pre-certification meetings and in preparing the Treasury group's collective response to the Financial Reporting group's draft 10Q/10K documents

Other key periodic reporting responsibilities, including updates on NiSource's capital structure, maturity profile, fixed-to-floating rate mix, interest rate swap mark-to-market valuations, swap interest expense recognition for accounting

Leads the departmental budgeting role for all of the VP Treasurer's departments (including variance analysis) and in compiling Treasury's Operating Plan

Other core responsibilities include the review of rating agency publications, preparation and review of Finance Committee slides and other PowerPoint presentations, rate case inquiries and data requests, providing support for SOX testing and various other ad hoc projects

Supervises a Senior Financial Analyst


Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Accounting

MBA, CFA or CPA desirable

5+ years of experience with financial analysis

Understanding of FASB accounting rules

Extensive analytical and decision-making skills

High attention to detail

Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities, relationships, schedules and deadlines
