The Manager, Database Marketing for MSG Entertainment will be responsible for the day-to-day database marketing needs of MSG and all of its operating properties. This person will provide direct support to MSG Entertainment, MSG Sports and MSG Media divisions, with comprehensive Engagement Marketing support and Direct Mail/Database guidance and leadership. The Manager will be a category expert for the EM marketing efforts. The manager will provide data that continually expands our overall understanding of customer behavior, awareness and satisfaction. Manage and maintain database marketing requests and provide training and timely access to data and information. Manage and train key stakeholders for all direct mail policies and procedures. Provide assistance in targeting and list pulls adhering to best practice surrounding contact strategy and segmentation. This role should work with strategy teams to develop detailed projections and include QA and performance monitoring for every test or campaign. Implement and maintain data overlay process for use in customer database systems. The Manager will oversee a team of analysts responsible for providing data and lists to support all direct marketing, sales and analytics initiatives companywide. Oversee the daily operations of the data warehouse vendor, Acxiom. Develop/maintain processes and tracking to ensure on time and accurate delivery of lists and campaigns. Work with the Marketing Analytics team to maintain current quantitative and analytical techniques to assure "best" methodologies are employed. Enforce and review all database marketing policies & procedures to meet business needs while protecting guest experience. Monitor ongoing campaigns against established budgets and advise where necessary.

Job Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5-10 years of database marketing experience with an emphasis on campaign design and implementation. Must have a solid understanding of databases and email systems. Will have expert understanding of data structure and requirements for marketing campaigns. Must have technical proficiency with PCs, MS Access, MS Excel, Ticketmaster/Archtics, Business Objects and be proficient in EXCEL, HTML, MS Project, MS Office, Visio. Must have knowledge of emerging market technology including usages of IM, RSS feeds, 3rd party content providers, personalization, text messaging etc. Will have solid knowledge of digital marketing and emerging technology along with superior knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques. Must have the ability to manage external resources, agencies and vendors. Will have excellent communication skills.
