Directs operators in the process of crude oil degasification within the Degas Plant. Monitors and supervises employees to ensure shift foreman and shift personnel carry out and complete assigned duties. Ensures shift personnel perform regular preventive maintenance on pumps, valves and motors. Develops schedules, plans, and procedures as directed. Serves as senior DM site representative during off normal hours when Site Director is not present. Maintains cavern degassification records, calculations and reports. Instructs and assists employees in maintenance of operating logs and records. Reviews all field reading sheets for accuracy and for possible malfunction of equipment. Conducts on-the-job training for subordinates. Points out job hazards and breaches of occupational safety procedures. Issues Safe Work Permits and reviews all start-up and shutdown procedures on all equipment, pertaining to degas plant operations. Reviews and approves time cards for employees. Performs other job related activities as directed by the Site Director and NOLA Vapor Pressure Project Manager. Inputs purchase request for plant supplies and maintenance contracts. Acts as SMTR on all contracts and assist in writing scope of work as needed. Reviews invoices and inputs service verifications. Coordinates plant operations activities, maintenance activities, attends and conducts coordination meetings.

EDUCATION: Process Plant Operator Technology degree from a recognized technology institute. And five years experience in a continuous process plant environment, specifically with compressors, tower operations and pumps and motors also experience with gas processing. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to assist employees in operation, observation and record reading. Must be able to operate PC and use MS Office software EXPERIENCE IN LIEU OF EDUCATION: Ten years experience in operations field in oil related industry. Two years minimum Supervisory experience required. Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to instruct, train, assist employees in operation, observation and record reading. Experience with the SPR project desirable. Must be able to operate PC and use MS Office software.
