Business Manager and support partner for SVP Design, providing operational and logistical support. This position leads the strategic design process through proactive calendar development, orchestration of milestone meetings and seasonal budget planning.
Design Calendar Management 1. Lead strategic design process through proactive calendar development and orchestration of milestone meetings. 2. Manage and optimize communication of calendar needs and deadlines with design as well as total company. 3. Partner with design and cross functional partners to prioritize appropriately in order to meet deadlines. 4. Act as a knowledge sharing hub and primary communication coordinator to cross functional teams.
5. Operate with a complete understanding of the development process. 6. Partner and support SVP Design to initiate and drive design (internal) calendar. 7. Collaborate and own agendas for all design owned milestone meetings.
Process 1. Provide input towards the creation of new processes that increase efficiency and productivity. 2. Consistently manage people, timelines, projects and resources in an organized, well prioritized manner.
3. Communicate with cross functional partners at appropriate times to manage process and work proactively to stay ahead of timelines (travel, adoption fittings, etc.). 4. Work with NY Production, Raw Materials, and Design to initiate new ideas that drive product/process innovation. 5. Additional support for design partners in solving conflicts, negotiating needs and priorities with cross functional partners. 6. On boarding new associates on process, brand language, and organization. Strategy 1. Support SVP and VP of Design in insuring that strategies/SVL�s/tests are reviewed before teams initiate work. 2. Collaborate with merchant partners to ensure strategies and processes are implemented in support of business goals. 3. Work directly with merchant partners to solicit feedback on performance of line at retail and report back to design on results. 4. Effectively manage strategic projects. Identify and utilize resources outside of direct control to facilitate objectives.
Budget Oversee Design Studio budgets and seasonal development costs.
? Education: Bachelor�s degree ? Experience: 7+ years experience in related field ? Computer skills: Highly proficient in all Microsoft applications
